Favorite Armor Abilities?

I'm fairly certain we all like the addition of armor abilities, I'm just curious which one you use the most. I myself find myself using Sprint more than any other ability. It is the simplest and in my opinion the most helpful, you can use it to get the drop on an enemy very easily, and it is just plain beast when you have a sword or shotgun. My other favorite would have to be Evade, as I love rolling up to someone, sticking them, then rolling backwards.

Armor Lock. You can use it for any defense, even time to recharge your shields.

I'm also starting to favor the hologram, often times I can fool someone very easily into wasting a rocket or two on the decoy... Which helps a LOT

But sprint is surprisingly godly, it's great for when you need to board an enemy scorpion.

Active Camo. By far the greatest thing for me.

1. Assassin. It's who I am.
2. Tanks = No problem. Just sneak up on them. Timing is everything but it's easy. I nail tanks like it's my job by going invisible and sneaking up to them OR letting them get close to me.
3. Afraid of crossing open spaces? Become the open space.
4. Sniping. INSANELY SWEET. Just go invisible and stand up out in the open without a care in the world and bring people down. Once your invis runs out, duck back down, out of sight. Shoot and duck. Go invis.
5. Armor Lock gives people time to get close to you and behind you for the assassination....never really had any luck with this.
6. Hologram: gives away your position. If you're smart/paying attention, you'll notice the hologram blips as it comes to life. Not all that great. It can reveal campers/snipers but it also reveals where it came from.
7. Jetpack. It's neat...but you're a giant flying bullseye for me. If you want to gain a vantage point up on some normally inaccessible point, I can understand....but everyone hears/sees you going through the air...

The thing is with camo is that sometimes you just may be in the wrong place at the wrong time, I got a few unexpected freebies while I was zooming around in a ghost once LOL.

I never use hologram, it's so damn obvious. Drop shield is kinda meh, sure it heals you but it always seems to fall to enemy fire before your shields recharge and Jetpack is just pain useless for my purposes.

I use armor lock and sprint for BTB, and I don't know what I'd use for other playlists because I just lurk around in BTB.

Those people deserved to get run over....if you're wide out in the open like that

And see, with hologram, I don't use it non stop, in a firefight, people will most definitely fall for it, if they're expecting you to run around a corner, and they start to see something come around the corner, they will empty their grenades, and THEN realize they just wasted all of them, if you know how to use it, it helps. Granted, sometimes I spam it just to be gay, but in ways that it DOESN'T give away my position

It's a little different when it's your TEAMMATE. ass. hole. You can see their tags and choose to run them over.

But still it can be hard to tell what distance your mates are at with the tags in some scenarios. I've been accidentally splattered many times because of that, or they just weren't paying much attention or couldn't slow down in time, all of which are perfectly understandable so I forgive their betrayals.

Yeah, Reach has made it difficult to gauge the distance of teammates...

I just read an article on the Dos and Don'ts of armor abilities and the one I did find extremely interesting is the dodging one. They say if you use that coupled with a sword, you can close the gap so quickly and become a flying bullet. The only con to that is the recharge time AND you have to time it right to coincide with the lunge/melee attack distance.

Both evade and sprint with either a sword or shotgun are just plain deadly. My first game on the cage i almost got an open season when I first picked up the shotty because I was just sprintin up to people and blasting them

I feel that they neutered the shotgun...it just doesn't do it anymore for me. I've turned to the DMR OR taken to going invisible with the sniper rifle. I've been doing pretty well with it, including a pretty sweet shot I recommended to you guys: 2-4-1.

That was one of the Dos: use the sniper rifle's utmost potential by coupling it with Active Camo. You can get to some pretty sweet vantage points undetected OR take a shot while invisible only to disappear into hiding again LOL

I personally dislike the DMR and strongly favor the needle rifle

I love the needle rifle as well, it fels more accurate and fast albeit weaker, but it's got a 21 round mag and is even full auto so I'm not complaining.

I also love the focus rifle, but it could just use a minor damage or aim assist increase for matchmaking cause you have to be sot on your target for a couple seconds for a kill.

The focus rifle is crap....The needle rifle is OK, I'm hot/cold with it. The DMR doesn't bother me. What does annoy me is the crappy distance aiming it has...seems as though everyone can headshot me in SWAT on Hemorrhage from great distances but when I try it, no success. Guys can stand still, I aim at their forehead, and I will never get the head shot. Hence why I use a pistol for CQC SWAT. faster and accurate.

Yeah, SWAT on Hemorrhage is gay. And I use the pistol too

The magnum is always better in close to close-medium since the bloom resets about twice as fast as the DMR's. And don't mention SWAT on Hemorrhage...too many bad memories...

I probably have some very similar memories...

I hid in the base LOL.
