Any news on new armor in a DLC update?

I'm not even sure if they can do that, because they'd have to reprogram all the current maps and levels to accept the armor, from my miniscule understanding of it. I'm not certain if they will ever release armor DLC. And if they don't, it's fine with me. We have around 4x the armor from Halo 3, and that's just from helmets, shoulders, and chests.

Well they did at one point imply that armor DLC was possible and probable... but who knows for sure?

They really need to add more knees, wrists, utilities, and visor colors if they can. I mean, 4 knee guards, compared to around 22 helmets, really?. And only 5 or so wrists and utilities.

What disappoints me in reach is that there's no full armor sets. in Halo 3 there was the whole set of CQB and EVA and so on, now it's just a random jumble of armors.

And I will just barely and resentfully admit that recon looks schnazzy with a blue visor...

yeah, that does bug me and I fail to understand their reasoning, if there is any. It's really cool to cross over armor pieces, but have full sets, too.

And after much consideration, a nice cup of tea, and watching vids of all the armors, all I really want now is the right grenadier shoulder, and then I'm fine.

So now I'm off to just unlocking crap for the heck of it!

yeah, get rid of that right shoulder piece. I can't stand that one. Looks like a big ass chunk of crap hanging on your arm; it doesn't flow or match with any armor...just sits out there like a brick on your arm.
That spike looks awesome, though.

I think it's an okay shoulder piece, I mainly like it because it looks chunky and armored as hell, yet mobile (and it also reminds me of milk duds LOL). The grenadier shoulder does a better job at that though. I'd use a different shoulder currently, but all the other ones are too small and make my left side look abnormally huge, and I don't want to do another CQC shoulder because I actually like asymmetrical spartans in this game.

it just doesn't sit on the shoulder well. Looks like it's not attached but just kinda there, like a brick sticking out of a wall. But I do love a good asymmetrical look OR a symmetrical look. Just not that shoulder.

We all have our hated pieces *shrug* I personally loathe the recon shoulders and chest, the shoulders just suck and the chest is just too much. Then again color is very important when it comes to how good armor looks, I've seen people make Tactical/LRP look sweet.

Tactical/LRP looks pretty sweet in black I think.

I'm using that same shoulder Alc, on the same side too. I'm just gonna use it until I can get Commando or Security.

I like the EVA shoulder because the whole design of it reminds me of DOOM, where it's all bulging out with metal protrusions, which is also why I wear the collar/breacher chest because the shotty shells remind me of the shells in DOOM, and the EVA also looks similar to DOOM designs...and so on, LOL.

It's kinda odd that the chests are the least expensive of all the armor, aside from the robot arm variants.

well, the helmet has always been the prized possession in Halo 3. Unlocking the helmets was the big goal...seems its the same in Reach. After all, it is your head

LOL true enough.

My wishes have now become reality now, they ended the rank cap permanently, and now the former blue visor EVA's are now replaced with a ton of poser Emiles, thus racking my uniqueness back through the roof!

Saw a few get ups that looked awesome. Saw a guy with the Commando helmet and was jealous LOL but now they changed the cR system around I'm getting less cR for the same effort...

I've been getting more....

And as for get ups all I've seen are combos that make my eyes roll, like a TOTAL Emile poser, his armor was completely accurate but for his lack of the tactical/soft case.

Honestly, Emile is my least favorite member of noble team, he just has cool armor.

My least fav was kat and carter. Kat was an uppity bitch and carter was a next-to-worthless leader in the game.

But hey, some people really liked Emile and wanted to dress like Emile. So be it. Personally, I would want to be my own spartan.
